SYD MNL with QF, then CX, pretty cheap in J ex MNL.

It's a pretty standard trip: MEL-HKG-RUH on CX. It used to transit via BAH, I'm not sure if that is still the case. Great connection in HKG. If not flying EK, this is the next best.

If you wanted to go on a bit of a detour you could fly on BA via London

I've gotten visas for a few people to travel there recently, but really not high on my list of places to visit....

I have my third trip to Saudi on CX coming up - JED rather than Riyadh.

Things to watch out for though are flights via DXB are regional J... No alcomohol into or out of JED (assume same for Riyadh)

Visas are a long slow process...

Work - min Y+ & J, so I want to ensure the routes I fly on are "friendly" towards the requirements.

QF to BKK, CX to Saudi - sounds like a good plan, wonder if I could get the entire flight ticketed as QF?
