Is the Qantas business lounge at LAX fully open? It is listed on the rather long list of Qantas lounges being worked on (https://www.qantas.com/au/en/freque...ge-lounge-passes.html#manageLoungeInvitations ). If it is still being worked on, when will it be open enough to allow use of passes again?

I am coming back through LAX on 23-Jul, and was looking forward to using a lounge pass: me (gold) + wife (gold guest) + son (pass). I tried linking it several times over past few months "computer says no". Is it worth ringing up and seeing if they can add it?

Any other options? AA + buy a day pass; or a decent area to sit for 4-5 hours?

How many Qantas lounges are there? I thought just 2:
  • the standard/business/qantas club
  • the first lounge
The standard one in TBIT has always been Qantas branded since I have been going.

I am not aware of any time when lounge passes have been accepted at the LAX business lounge.

There is one Qantas lounge at LAX.

It is the Qantas First lounge.

There is another lounge at TBIT, the Los Angeles Business Lounge, which is managed by Qantas. Oneworld business class and oneworld sapphire have access to this latter lounge. It is not a Qantas lounge.

Having posted that, Qantas Club members do get access.

Note however, that linking of passes to this lounge is currentlyq speciicfally not permitted.

When will it be ready? Obviously these AI musings could be complete tosh, but we are well past early 2026 already.
