Is Qantas rewarding FF's ?

I have recently been told that a couple of Qantas FF's that have attained 50,000 status credits have been invited into the Chairman's Club. Has anyone else heard of this ? Getting to that many status credits is a lot of flying.

I'm on over 20,000 Lifetime SCs and that's one of the lower totals if you look at some on AFF.

Forget Lifetime Platinum. I'm going straight to Chairmans Lounge.

IF this has happened to one or two wh possibly have >50k LTSC (they'd have to be very heavy premium pax over years) I would imagine it would be co-incidental to their situation and reason for being granted CL status rather than simply because of hitting 50k LTSC.
