Is Qantas Actually Listening?

I like the sandwich toasters and am more than happy to make up my own sandwich for toasting. I don't see why you all think they are a downgrade.... downgrade from what? Not having a sandwich toaster?
Yup our family are huge toasted sandwich fans - never found it takes very long to do one and you can tailor it exactly to your preference....

I'm not talking about the introduction of toasting machines. The service improvement is to make the toasted sandwiches and serve them around the lounge. The first time I've seen or heard of such service was in the Adelaide Qantas club yesterday. Sure toasting machines might be a downgrade, but the service I'm talking about is a definite improvement over that.
As the topic has gone off track is there a priority line for the toasting machines and if so is it clearly marked.

Really not sure how all the freestyle toastie people change my view. As I expressed in my feedback to Qantas serving toasted sandwiches allowed me to do work instead of faffing around making breakfast. The fact that I was more than happy with what was offered doesn't prevent others from making up a banana, salami and cheese toastie.

Has it gone off track? I've highlighted an instance where Qantas seems to have improved the service, I've taken that change to indicate they are listening.

Yes. There are massive signs but their position and the direction of the arrows varies by lounge. Don't worry, though. Just queue in the priority lane; your boarding pass won't be checked.

If they are listening, can you change your beer line-up! Your AU beer choice hasn't changed in almost 10 years (internationally) and my flight on June 3rd BKK-SYD gave me a choice of VB, James Squire or Crown.

Ok, I'm not a huge fan of AU beers, preferring an international choice, but they had nothing else at all. Not even anything available from Y - they thought possibly Heineken but no luck.

Thankfully I had a couple of Singha in the lounge, but poor form QFi. Think it's about time you put it up for tender again, your selection can only be described as boooooring. . . . . . .

I could have sworn this topic was up about 18 months ago. Something about QF moving to more boutique brands or something (i.e moving away from the likes of VB etc).

Must have missed that one, but it's obvious nothing has happened. Unless they consider VB "boutique". ;)

I was offered a James Boag last week on the QF BNE/HKG sector. Could that be considered a sort of 'international" selection? :D

If they were doing real cost cutting spirits should be the first thing to go, instead of kill the relationship with the more frequent customers. In fact, given Qantas' race to match VA don't be surprised if spirits are cut.

I love the term "simpler and fairer", this is my take on this spin.

This enhancement has made it Simpler for me to change airlines and Fairer to my wallet.

QF need not concern themselves as I'm only Gold, heck they don't seem to listen to Plat 1 it would seem.

Since they have announced the changes I haven't spent a dime with them and have no need now to chase WP

I'm actually feeling liberated and look forward to my international flights on various airlines with the same level of anticipation I had when I was half my age albeit more comfortable in front of the curtain. The money I save outweighs the need for QF points that are devalued with taxes and the higher fares to begin with.

Yes it's fine you pull flights out of ADL, but to remove decent earn on all the carriers that still operate under OW is interesting. I remember some spin few years back to fly to Oneworld hubs, I thought KUL was a OW hub. Looks like Ethiad will stitch that one up.

I also thought companies were about maximising revenue in tough times. With this in mind W class should be added not removed from Asian services. SQ are adding it and CX have an ok product, but alas QF just want A330 birds flying the bulk of Asian flights with an inferior product that will eventually be replaced, but don't hold our breath.

Just my opinion, thanks.
