With the advent of LITE fares that say 'no checked baggage' is included, has anyone found Priority check in lines cut a break on this if asked nicely, or is it strictly enforced?

With staff there will always be one-off exceptions granted, often with things like this for Platinums etc, but sometimes the system simply will not let it be over-ridden by check in agents, even if in a good mood. :)

Any personal experiences from members here - one way or the other? Already easily requal so SC and segments of little interest to me for some shorter flights that can be $80 more a couple RT in CHOICE.

As I recall checking a piece at airport if needed is what - $60 a bag?

Dunno @ozstamps but once I was allowed to add a 3rd bag for free (VA SG at the time) after security wouldn't let me take some spooled fishing reels as carry on. So rules can be bent. Cheapest to add bags online.

This is a case of system says no, sure you might be able to find someone to override this but I guess you'll need to find someone in a good mood. At the airport extra luggage is $100 per piece so this could be an expensive exercise if this fails.

All that being said on domestic fares you can add excess baggage to lite fares after booking at $45 per piece.
