So - there have been no end of complaints about the virgin website over the last few weeks - and it seems that up until the Sabre change over, I was a totally satisfied customer - but for my flights next week, I think I will be deferring to Qantas.
Today's gem was the following - I went to check in online for my flight to Canberra tomorrow am - to find I wasn't able to. When I called up - they said it was because over 75% of the passengers were checked in online - so I have to check in at the airport. What's this all about?!! Why would that be?? I asked if I was guaranteed a seat on the flight and the guy on the phone said I was - but couldn't explain why I can't check in on line.
Is this a new policy, or just something I have never encountered before. Or am I being spun some complete and utter rubbish by the call centre??
