I see on FR24 at 2025 AEDT (1725 WST) on Tuesday 15 November 2016, flight V!6907 (airline Volga Dnepr Airlines, about which I had never previously heard) with aircraft Ilyushin IL76TD, apparently a cargo plane, is approaching the northwest Australian cost (in WA) and from its heading, confirmed by FlightAware, is bound for BNE, having originated in Malaysia's JHB (across the border from SIN), taking off at 1403 this afternoon.

Is this aircraft conveying Grand Prix racing cars, or army Bushmasters? Or does it have personnel on board from an army?

Is this the first time this airline has sent a plane to Oz?

I'm not sure what its cargo is, but the aircraft is due to depart to POM this afternoon. It could be a seperate contract , but suggests its the same cargo.

Volga Dnepr are a russian contract cargo airline. An-124's and IL-76's mostly.

As the F1 circus is heading from Brazil to Abu Dhabi, it would be going the very long way around to get there.
The WEC cars are heading from China to Dubai for a race this weekend, but they would have gone left last week.
