I am booked to fly in Business from BNE to SYD and my screen is telling me the flight is operated by a Boeing 737-800 operated by Virgin Aust Int'l for VA, so I assume this is an aircraft they normally use on their shorthaul int'l flights to Fiji, NZ, etc. Does anyone know if there is anything different inside this aircraft from the usual VA domestic B737s?

My understanding is that Fiji or NZ flights are usually operated by "Virgin Australia (New Zealand)". The "Virgin Australia (International)" aircraft typically operate DPS and HKT services. I expect the only difference from a passenger perspective will be that it might be carrying liferafts, which most of the domestic-only VA 737s are not equipped with.

Also I don't think that all Virgin Australia (New Zealand) B737s have business class seats yet (roll out of J to be completed by April'15? for all Tasman/Pacific Island flights), so some will have premium economy at the front until then, whereas Virgin Australia (International) and Virgin Australia (Domestic) B737s all have business class seats.

Thanks. That's important. I certainly don't want to get stuck in one of the old Premium seats so will contact the airline to double check the operator.
