Is a hot breakfast all that hard if a LCC can do one?

Noticed Scoot offer a hot breakfast as part of their service to Australia (you have to pay of course), made me think why most of the competition offer continental offerings?

Into SYD at least Scoot are one of the latter arrivals so hot breakfast understandable (with 2am departure ex-SIN). SQ, BA and QF all arrive much earlier so do have hot meals on departure. Many skip the continental brekky anyway as its usually served at 3-4am (departing port time), except on the midnight services.

All depends on how many meals they are carrying, galley space and ovens.

Air Asia offers hot meals on all flights, including 1hr hops, but it is all pre-ordered and I understand they only have one small oven.
