I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS 9 yesterday (17/9) and after signing into the AFF app (version 4.1.0), noticed a new layout and a number of detrimental changes, including:

- can no longer see search function in main menu (or anywhere else);
- main menu no longer shows private messages unread;
- scrolling is jittery and not smooth;
- no longer seems to remember and take me to the first post I haven't read in a thread;
- only shows a limited number or unread posts (about 40), with no apparent ability to see anymore;
- font too small.

I note that at least some of these changes/issues may be related to the recent upgrade of the app, as I think I upgraded the app to the latest version following the iOS upgrade.

In summary, it's a backwards step.

As you have pointed out. These issues are known limitations of the new App
Not related at all to iOS9 .
Nice summary BTW :)

And adding, difficult to post pictures using the app.

I was able to scramble back to the old app which I did as soon as I came back from Europe. Using the old version is one of the reasons I haven't updated my phone, just in case the old version isn't compatible with it.

The new app was released in late June/early July and I regretted having updated the app as I was about to go on an extended holiday.

Now I know why I don't have auto upgrade for apps! Might have to try and downgrade to the previous app.

New app has lost messenger functionality and can't see sub-forums. Big loss!
