Anyone got a decent one or any recommendations? Still very few on the market. Looking for something high quality $200ish with at least 30m depth rating.

What options do you have? Didn't realise much went that deep. I've managed to kill 3 life proofs (and 2 phones as a result) so they aren't life-proof enough for my climbing/snow/water life.

I would be very interested for my iPhone 5 (they just keep giving me new ones)!.

None that are reliable to that depth.

30m you'll need a proper camera housing, not a flimsy case for a phone. The phone cases are notorious for coughping out anything below 10m.

Look at the Intova range for a an underwater camera+housing setup that's budget friendly and is reliable at that depth.

Cell phone signals cannot penetrate water more than a few cm, so your phone won't be much use down there

A 30m rating is not really great for 30m.
My dive watch is rated to 200m, but it would cough out way before that. If it had brand new seals maybe once, for a short time it might make 200.
I have a DSLR alloy housing rated to 90m. It went to 50 and leaked. Not much, but enough to set the alarm off and then had to abort the dive.

Just because your car speedo goes to 200 doesn't mean you should go that fast. :)

You can get dive cases for stuff to keep them dry. They look like a giant medication capsule. Not sure if a newer model iphone will fit. Certainly not a 6 or 6+. Naturally, you can't be using the camera or anything.

how many phone calls will you make 30 metres down?:)

My friend left his phone in his tracksuit pants pocket while diving in a drysuit and the phone started ringing while we were on the deco line.
My husband wrote on his slate to him, "You going to answer that?"

OP is going to need a proper housing so best check out the scuba forums for trial and error advise.

In PNG a few months ago, one of the guys I was diving with had one of those GoPro housings rated to 40m, and we hit a wreck at 46m, and it flooded. I think he's subsequently bought the 60m housing for it.

My housing and strobes are rated to 100m, and it's been down to 65m without an issue. Just got to be pedantic about checking the o-rings on everything.
