Mmm..,
Some people are just the bees knees.
Swish.
Imagine someone turning up in refletive 3m buts on their cargo pants and an orange or yellow high vis work shirt.

Said 'hello' to Leslie Grant & Stephanie Tully on behalf of AFF. Didn't quite get around to saying 'hi' to Justin (forgot his surname).

Justin is the guy who changed all the SC & points earn table.

Oooooo, just so conveniently forgot Justin's surname... Grin, give his surname, stat!
Its like calling a call centre, getting an Indian guy, and being given an Anglicised name, instead of Rajeev, or Gurdeep, or Deepak, or Thandaurkar...
EDIT: the only saving grace, in my pov is the QP.
If VA the lounge stepped up its standards, ie, PER airport and VA agreed to take off the opaque covering the windows, and we something more oomph than the sangers makers, VA would get my $$$ 1000% over, and I would not have to face the obnoxious thwat... who ever that person in the photo might be.
Oh, and one more thing, if this QF thing happened on a weekend in ADL, I would attend, if I got an invite... but though, I guess they do vet invites, ... who is the least threat, or to speak up, a WP/WP1 of course.
Anyways, ok, time to hit the dog box.
Right, enjoy the peace for a few hours of nod.

One of my friends went. He is (thoroughly undeserved) CL. He said he couldn't hear anything that Lesley said and he just spent an hour drinking champagne.

He's not in the photo. The guy on the left looks a bit like Paul from Epiqure to me though.

It's Justin Hyams, btw.

Thanks Anna.

Forgot to mention the door prizes -

1st - 50,000 QFF points
2nd - Latest release Bose headphones
3rd - QF golf club premium membership
4th - QF Epiquire mixed dozen

Unforunately, I walked away empty handed :(

I went last night and had a great time in the company of some friends, people on this forum would know.

We were having a really good chat with Stephanie during the last half hour of the evening but then security booted us all out.

Three of us went elsewhere for a couple of drinks to finish off the evening.

Not special enough to be invited despite travelling on QF weekly and flexi fares :(
Glad you got the invite tho, Buzz, our unofficial social organiser for Radelaide ;)

I had an invite, but could not attend due to a function at West Lakes Golf club. I'm sure the Qantas event would have been more exciting...

I know that 17Dec14 is a work day for a lot of ADL AFF members, but those of you who didn't get an invite to this Soaree (sp) with Ms Grant, if you are free for that last 767 (if QF don't change the plane), dep ADL at 13.40 (?), we could do our own.
I have a right to be in the QP before that flight, sobbing my heart out, so if any others of you colleagues will be there, whats the appropriate sign of AFF membership?
Those people who have to fly that date (non AFF) will be not to pleased with the lot of those of the AFF attendees.
Guess I might be only one on the most left hand side of the ADL QP facing the "new" multi storey carpark, as far away from the child zone as possible.
I will be there, thats for sure to see the old bird off. Ride her for one last time.
So, whats the dress code for the last 767 flight out of ADL?
Will someone remember to turn her light out, when she gets to which ever last way point in SA before crossing over to Vic.
1.change the QF FF mileage earn rates and QF SC earn rates.
2.take away the 767 just because she burns more fuel.
3.take away any chances of flying SYD to BNE in a 330
4.make earning with OW partners so lousy, 883 QF FF points on the lowest discY fare from ADL to KUL direct, but 4500 QF FF points if I fly ADL to MEL to KUL with EK (QF coding)...
Bugga.
So many things I could have told Lesley... But it wasn't to be...
Hic!

What has any of this got to do with this thread? If you'd like to discuss particular arrangements for the last B767 flights why not do it in the appropriate thread? http://www.australianfrequentflyer....program/final-flights-for-the-b767-63058.html

Well, a lot of people didn't get an invite to the Lesley Grant meet/posh up.
My thinking was that maybe those who can attending the final 767 ADL flight, might have a something similar to the Lesley Grant thingo.
I see your point though.

In conversation with Stephanie, IIRC she mentioned 1000 invites with 300 RSVPs.

Are there 1000 QF WP/P1 in ADL or was Steph saying 1000 for PER, MEL and ADL meets with Lesley?

It was mentioned to me that invites we're based on points earned during the last year (I'm guessing FY). Apparently lots of Bronze members were invited to the ADL function who earned points from CC spend.

Not sure that is correct in my case.
I'm WP, but not big earner of cc points
My guess is Aquire membership
