@support - not sure if this is a known thing or not. I cannot see in the 'new posts' list, a thread started by someone who is blocked to me. I can access it via an alert to me from within the thread (and I've bookmarked that) but otherwise I wouldn't know the thread was there.

If its an unknown ;'bug', I can PM you the details.

I think this will be 'as intended' - the system will always hide posts from those you have ignored. If the post happens to be the first post of a thread too, then this will result in the whole thread being hidden.

While you may say, but that means a whole thread could be hidden, there will be others who use ignore to block entire threads by that member from being seen. You can't have it both ways, or can't have a thousand different ways it can be implemented unfortunately, so I guess Xenforo have taken the logical approach that if you ignore someone so it hides their posts, it will mean their threads are hidden too.

Not the same but it's hard to find the exact issue, and this does highlight the current functionality is basic and people want more, but it isn't available, yet.

To go further... we've been waiting for the next version of Xenforo - 2.3, for over a year. They've had major delays and it is expected major changes will come that could fix issues like this. But it's all speculation ;)
