G'day all,

I'm a software engineer based in Brisbane, currently working on the new World360 Rewards loyalty program at Flight Centre.

I'm joining because I want to better understand how to maximise points and also get insight into how the community evaluates different loyalty programs. Before I started working in this space I was woefully ignorant about points and thought they weren't worth the time and effort to accrue. And now I am spending my Sunday looking at credit card applications 😀

I look forward to learning from the AFF community.

Frequent flyer programs are morphing into frequent spender programs. Many people now get more points on the ground from from credit cards and day to day spend (shopping, electricity, insurance, fuel, alcohol, white goods, gift cards, etc). Never spend anything without getting 1 or 2 lots of points. Can be with a bonus. But check if that is costing you $$. Most times not worth getting a few points if its costing you more,
