As some have noted on the forum, a biography about former Qantas CEO Alan Joyce was recently released, called Alan Joyce and Qantas: The Trials and Transformation of an Australian Icon. Whilst I have not read the book (and have no intentions of doing so), I came across this article on Australian Aviation where they interview the author of the biography, Peter Habison:

It will be interesting to see what Alan Joyce's legacy will be. Will he be seen as a visionary CEO who transformed Qantas from a small money losing regional carrier to an Australian titan? Or will he be remembered for how poorly he treated customers, employees and other stakeholders? Only time will tell!

I've read the book... I don't think there was much new in there. I'm always interested in seeing how prominent figures like Alan Joyce perceive their actions or explain them in their own words, so it was intriguing in that regard. I found the part about the early days of COVID to be particularly interesting with the chaos and choices that had to be made. I think there was a part about the worst-case six-month scenario coming true in a matter of weeks.
