Unfortunately, life has dealt me a blow, that I'm slowly coming to terms with.
I've joined the ranks of the victims of Australia's most unethical Government sponsored authority .... The Child Support Agency ( CSA ).
( those who know about what the CSA does to people, will know exactly what I mean ... )
To the question ...
It looks like I'm likely to have a Departure Prohibition Order ( DPO ) slapped on my Australian Passport ( due to a dispute with the CSA. The ex wife doesn't care. She wipes her hands of whatever they do to me ).
However, some months ago, I didn't realise the CSA had the power to impose a DPO.
I've booked and paid for a cheap International return flight with Jetstar.
I know the 'usual' story with Jetstar's position on refunds / cancellations, but does anyone think I CAN cancel my booking if there is an actual DPO on my Passport ?
( please, spare me any moralistic rants toward me as a so-called 'deadbeat dad'. There is much much more detail to my story, and I'm sure nobody here wants to hear it. Ex wife has been offered a fair settlement, but refused. )
