Inside the World's Best First Class Lounges - what's old is new again.

'Recycled'? Just because it says "Qantas is also on a roll, with new lounges slated for in Singapore and Hong Kong in 2013"? I can't see any mention of the 'now scrapped' SIN F Lounge in that, it just says there will be a new lounge in Singapore, and we know SIN will be getting a revamp but sometime in 2013 instead of QF's old 'end of 2012' claim.

Personally I dont think there is anything wrong with the existing SIN F Lounge!

My post stated the original story appeared to be recycled and, err, read the 2nd article:

"Work began earlier this year on renovations for the Singapore first class lounge, which Qantas intended to be opened by year's end and said would be modelled along the same lines as Qantas' highly-regarded First lounges in Sydney and Melbourne, with a contemporary design by Marc Newson and a Neil Perry menu.

Those plans have now been scrapped and Qantas is now working through the exact size and location of the new business lounge."

IMHO its similar to an article once published on abt. Plus I'm not entirely sure the Helsinki information is current. Cathay seems updated though.

I visited it the other day for the first time and it looked like a normal business lounge and of course being Qantas/Ba/Whoever else, it was packed.

Didn't see anything really plush or exclusive that the words "First Class" imply.

Yes the current SIN Lounge is shared and busy... was thinking, however, that they could run the same (or similar) article for the 3rd time if the EK deal isn't approved and it would be news again ;)
