Inflight theft

I actually do this quite often in the lounge - leave my bags, laptops and phone if I'm going to the bathroom or getting food.

Do thefts happen that often in the lounges?
No idea on the stats for that, but I must admit that I'm always concerned leaving my items unattended as lounges often have so much traffic coming and going that it's easy for someone to pocket a phone or similar and before you can work out who it was, they could be long gone. If ever I leave my items at the chair/table unattended, I'm constantly looking back to make sure they're still where I left them.

Our work security protocols absolutely ban you from leaving your phone lying around unattended, and laptops have to be locked and put out of sight before heading off elsewhere for a moment. I shake my head seeing what gets left around, and laptops open and unlocked.
