Our datacenters have used biometric authentication in addition to passcodes for some time, Iris scan in some, finger print in others.

But i also worked in an office maybe 5 years ago that had 3 forms of security, an electronic key, a pin code and a finger print. (Not to mention a entrance tunnel that was only allowing 1 person to pass) and this was not a top secret organisation or anything like that just a regular company that i am sure a lot of you have used there products.
A very very professional smallish organisation indeed. (With a very capable IT department, i would love to see what its like now)
