So due to ongoing uncertainty re the current Melbourne lockdown, I rebooked my trip from next week (18/6) to the October long weekend. The flights were classic reward J SYD-MEL return and I changed these for the same flights on later dates, points value was the same but taxes went from $63 to $76 - was there an increase in taxes announced?

The only difference was original fare Fri AM departure and Sun PM return vs Sat AM departure and Mon PM return.

Dunno! In April I booked a classic award in J SYD-MEL for travel in December. The taxes fees and charges were $38.52. Recreating the booking today the taxes fees and charges are $39 (likely rounded up on the booking page). So no change on my flights.
