In theory how does the "three year average rule" for comps work?

Just wondering if I can rely* on a comp this year for WP as I don't think I will be able to requalify otherwise.

My last three years I got 1300 ('15), 1835 ('14) and 1410 ('13).

Is the supposed three year average rule based on the current year ('16) plus the previous two (15,14), or is it based on the previous three (15-13)?

* Maybe rely is too strong a word - "hope for", maybe.

You would have to include the current year and previous 2 years in the calculations.

Unfortunately that still doesn't guarantee you will be comped but gives you a better chance.

I'll let you know in early March, as I've earned 150 in the last year, 745 the year before and ~4400 in the year before that.

From what people tell me, P1 usually leads to two comps of WP if travel completely drops off, but this year will be the test of that!

4400, wow!!! That's like 12 business return to LAX. That's a lot of flying

Hmm ok, so that means I need 3600 - 1300 - 1835 = 465 this year to have a three year average of 1200. Should be able to manage that, and then fingers crossed :)

It's 3 years "at the assessment date" so that includes the current year.

Plus - it assumes you haven't already had a comp at your current level.

Also - you are expected to still achieve the 4 squiggles.

AND - it's an unpublished benefit.

Just wondering if the comp goes with 3yr rule if last 3yr avg is about 4300sc but this year is less than 3600sc for P1. My last 2yrs have been 4845 and 5055 and this yr would expect 3225sc.

I've heard of a 3565 SC person being knocked back for P1.

I've also heard that you can't get it comped.

:(

Very interested to know how you go samh004. Hoping for the two years of WP myself.

I will have a very similar drop off to you with ~4200SC for 2013/14, ~550SC for 2014/15 and what looks like ~150SC for 2015/16 (ending Sept 30).

Hardly flying QF these days it may not matter anyway....
