Rates/Water/Sewerage is all Brisbane City Council/Qld Urban Utilities - who don't accept it... I've already tried to have them sign up (by contacting Amex, and also by contacting BCC/QUU myself and saying that I would love for them to accept it, and I'd even be happy to pay a surcharge to cover the extra costs) but they weren't interested The only thing they managed to do was to get BCC to accept Amex in the King George Square car park - better than *nothing* I suppose, but I don't park there, so it doesn't help me!

For electricity you can switch your provider to Energy Australia or Lumo Energy - both accept Amex with no surcharge, so at least you'll get *some* extra points from Amex
