Here in BNE for abit :) Then tomorrow I'm to make my first visit on the return leg to the ROK loun.... Oh wait....

<_< :p My saving grace will arrival access back at BNE. Quick bite before an afternoon of meetings!!

In SYD lounge if someone wants to be guested.

By the way they have the cold boiled eggs for those that like them (I prefer the fresh ones from my chooks at home every day hot).

Cheers,

Arbo

Just grabbed a take away coffee from the MEL lounge after checking messages etc, to take with me on my long ddrive ahead. Take away cups ok, but no lids...A bit pointless when you need to carry the takeaway cup around and won't to avoid a spill.

Anyone else in the BNE Lounge currently? See afew flights have been delayed, hopefully not mine to PER....

In MEL now, down near the piano of twitter fame. It's roped off, so maybe guests need to tweet to gain access. In here until around 5pm

Wine tasting now on, 4-7pm. Looks to be a few different other ones coming up too, every few days at the same time (MEL lounge)

OOL Lounge for another 10-15 minutes.

I must have walked past you. I was there between ~4:00pm-4:45pm and heard the announcement regarding wine tasting.

MEL lounge is as full as I have seen it on a non-delay day. This time of the morning the baristas are earning their keep!

It is quite a nice view over to the mountains. Very relaxing and quite spacious way out of the way upstairs.

Melbourne lounge a debacle. Skeleton staff and food. It's a public holiday but not for airlines VA. Poor show.

In the SYD lounge, attempted to use the premium entry as I have a few lounge passes - lounge dragon said no despite my assurances that as of Monday I will have hit gold.

If lounge passes don't permit you to use the premium lounge entry then that is fine, but would have been nice if that was published somewhere.

*waits for someone to post the bit of the velocity site that clearly states this that cleaver missed*

I'd say the criteria listed on the VA site (https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/...ydney-lounge-premium-entry-and-premium-valet/) are pretty clear:

Sydney Lounge Premium Entry is available exclusively to Virgin Australia Business Class and Premium Economy guests, Velocity Platinum and Gold members and partner airline reciprocal status members travelling with carry-on baggage only.

Emphasis mine.
