I assumed we had a thread for this but the last one is so old it’s been locked.

I had a quick peek in the J. Lounge today and saw the signs saying a refurb is coming.

On return to the F lounge I was chatting with Nestor he said it’s starting in October and will be closed for over a year. He said they’re not sure were they’re going to put everyone, they have a temporary space for 150 but it won’t be big enough.

Wow - I thought Gold status gave you automatic eligibility for QP when flying QF or JQ

LTG is the new Bronze+. QF doing its best to ensure those who put in the effort are suitably rewarded for their loyalty.

Couldn't be any other reason.

I suspect so. I must admit I was genuinely surprised - I wasn’t aware that they could refuse someone who is entitled to entry (ie not trying to use a pass, slip in an extra kid or something).

They are giving away Platinum QTags at Melbourne Business Lounge.

They have the luggage tag counter from last year but there’s nothing on it.

There is free photo printing though

Am in the SYD Emirates lounge for a few minutes before it closes then off to the Air NZ lounge before boarding the QF flight to BKK. The fruit and juice area has just been cleaned up and all food replaced because of a broken glass. Then a customer dropped a plate. The staff are having a smashing day.
