I'm in the QF Lounge thread

Morning folks! I’m in MEL J until about 10:40 and can guest 1. I’m also pleased to report that the escalators are being attended to (but remain inoperable at this time).

I’m in the AKL quasi-QP (i.e. the Macca’s adjacent part of the departures hall that can sneak QP wifi access) until about 04:00 and can guest unlimited numbers. 😜

Sometime around 04:30*, I’ll be in the QP proper and can guest 1 (must be on a OWA flight).

* This is assuming AKL security decide they can actually operate/spare more than a single security screening point to cover off the multiple plane-loads of pax who all try to go through as soon as security opens  What a nightmare that was last Saturday….
I will be doing an overninghter in AKL in June. Did you find a comfy spot to snooze?

Damn, I got here about 1050. Missed you by 'that' much.

I am now in the MEL dom J lounge until 1145. Sorry, can't guest.

Can’t say I slept. That being said, it seems the most popular place is the food court upstairs (near the security entrance) because it has the Maccas and an area with a fair few power and usb points. Other than that, I saw some people finding creative sleeping locations downstairs near the checkin counters.

Bugger! Another time :) By the way, good luck with queuing for coffee. They changed the entry/exit points 3 times whilst I was there. In the end I gave up figuring out where to “correctly” queue. Seriously… pick one and stick with it 😜

Ah ok, I thought you were transiting. I will stay airside and see what I can find.

The escalator at MEL lounge precinct going down is now fixed … was in the J lounge momentarily to grab a quick bite before the last leg for the day …

I only saw outlets for Australian plugs when I was there.

What other lounges are you visiting? I believe most OS lounges have the local power outlets. There might be some multi pin ones in some location?
