I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

Mine reset end of July should be able to requalify as a WP again but not sure about the following yeat without JASAs

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

And in the end I have dropped to Gold, :( where is that drink, or 10.
Are you trying to maintain status on 2 airlines?

That is not going to be easy to achieve with leisure travel at the best of times.

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

IIRC, Kiwi Flyer had top status in 4 programs at one stage. Not sure how many he's been able to keep

Where is Kiwi Flyer these days? I remember him being a very active member of AFF when I first joined..

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

3270 go to the angels on Saturday for me.

But I'll requal WP on SCs on 16 October somewhere between MIA & ORD. The third squiggle will come up a couple of days later while squiggle 4 will occur in November PER-SYD on the way to SCL.

Hallelujah, resurrection :D.

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

3680 to get wiped tonight and enough travel booked to maintain WP by October. :p So WP1 may be achievable again

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

Bye Bye SC's.. at least I got an extra one in to claim my 3rd loyalty bonus for the year
QFF.jpg

Not sure what the next 12 months will bring though with a new baby on the way my flying will be suspended for a good few months so a soft landing back to gold is the most likely outcome.

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

Goodbye to 320SC!

Hoping I manage to get enough to requal silver this upcoming membership year...fingers crossed!

same here but for gold. 185 SC short so looking unlikely. how long do we usually have to wait before finding out?

Re: I'm feeling a bit sad...

Bye bye to 1565 SCs. Should be back to ~700 or so by the end of Oct.

Bye bye 1250 SCs. 1210 from AA status runs at <1.5 per SC netting 1210, then 4 domestic red deals at 40 SCs. I'm feeling so cheated by QF now... those extra 50 SCs they got to wipe for free  Must optimize more efficiently next year.

Dun worry VFF, I'm optimizing my strategy with you too via DL status runs :D

I'd be interested to know the routing of this status run!

I'd be interested to know the point of it all... if the only flights all year were the SR and the QF qualifying flights, what the point of it all was... :)

1) LTG (70% there)
2) Work makes me fly economy with QF. The humiliation and indignification of economy cabin drives me to requalify for Platinum so I have a the best chance at points/op upgrade to business/first.
3) Plat first/Biz award redemption (unpublished Bennie)

QFF status does offer value, if you know how to use it.
