I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

The result of the audit is that they think the -30 is incorrect (shock!), and her and her supervisor have never seen it before.
So it's being referred to the systems team. I have a flight tomorrow, so ready for the argument where my flights are credited (which will take me to -10) and then reset me to zero (meaning I miss the credits for my flights tomorrow).

So after not hearing back, I rang back and the person looked through the notes and told me that they'd checked my account. They said it was to do with the 'Let Qantas Reward Me Bonus' and the negative was just me 'catching up'. I had to explain quite a few times that no matter what mistake they've made I shouldn't ever start a year on negative points. The agent is checking again and will call me back. I can't quiet grasp why the concept that I should start a year on zero instead of negative is so hard for them to grasp, and how they can try to insist that it's correct.

I had 2400 wiped as of March 1st. I only flew during the last four months of my last calendar year... So I definitely don't feel like a spent a lot of time at the airport unlike others.

Only 80 so far this month.... Damn you Qantas for not offering J MEL-DPO haha.

1555 gone today. Thanks to everyone on this forum for there insights as I would have never reached WP without it (previous best was 380). Now with 4 month old twin boys travel is not a high priority but would still like to see the insides of the MEL or SYD Flounge before I lose my WP status in 12 months.

1570 all gone today. I have quite the travel bug going right now so I should be able to scrape in for WP again next year

Hit 1200 exactly last Wednesday and all gone today. Perfectly planned requalification and wasn't going to waste one extra point.

Hopefully I can get a bit of help with this one.

My re-assessment date is 31 March. For 2013 I have been SG, but haven't flown enough in the last 12 months to requalify, so was expecting a soft landing to Silver on 1st April....but....as of 2 April, my account is still showing my status as Gold, and it even notes "SC required by 31 March 2015 to retain Gold: 600". But the weird thing is, my reassessment date is still showing as 31 March 2014.

So I'm trying to figure out whether they've just kept me at Gold despite not requalifying, or if I'm going to get a nasty surprise in a couple of days and the system adjusts itself and bumps be down to Silver. I hope the former.

Has anyone else ever had a delay in getting bumped down in status?

Yep, that's normal ... it seems they wait a few days just in case some additional SC's post from March or earlier, that may change things.

If no such SC's post, anecdotes indicate you would by back to PS by next Monday.

How quickly does Qantas "update" status. Status points have gone but status reassessment is still dated 30 April 2014.

Groan. Note to self. Skip to the end of the thread. Read the three posts above before I post.

I had 3800 SCs wiped yesterday. I doubt whether I will get anything like that number again, but hopefully will be able to retain platinum once I lose the current P1,despite enhancements.......

Ouch! That would hurt a little. Mine are wiped at the end of this month, fortunately not as many as you to lose.

Bye bye to only 735 SC this year. No work trips overseas this year. Probably good bye to WP after 12 years or so

Currently WP but unemployment sees cutback to WG. Its a tough life. However Qantas changes to OneWorld rewards is seeing me leave this FF program.

Not happy about the changes either.
I had a brief thought at the beginning of the year that I should take a soft drop to VA SG and go for P1 with QF. Ultimately decided that this was foolish as it was way more beneficial to me to be WP on VA than a P1 on JQ  (my main alternative domestically).
Now after the introduction of the "Simpler and Fairer" flying program, I find myself with no regrets.

Good luck with your job hunting
