Is travel insurance on CC apply?

Where did the points come from? For example, I've got a trip coming up that was booked using Velocity points, most of which came from my Citibank Signature card. According to this, the complimentary insurance applies.....

obtaining the overseas travel ticket via the cardholder's airline frequent flyer program, provided that a minimum of 15,000 points were transferred to that frequent flyer program from points earned on a Citibank Card or via Citi Rewards, over a 12 month period prior to obtaining the overseas travel ticket

Yes yes yes yes..... Well the return ticket..... Going was via qff..... So how does that work if can't go?

What of you transfer the15k after ticket redeemed via vff but before flight?

By the terms and conditions, insurance not activated (the 15K transfer must be before the ticket is purchased).

Different CC providers have different policies regarding coverage. ANZ only requires $250 in total of all travel plans. Some CC providers require the return ticket to have been purchased (or points used). If you buy one way from two accounts that may exclude cover.

Best to directly call the insurance provider and ask them.
