If seat selection is important to you, do not book with FlybuysTravel

So I had the good idea to earn FB points, and also Airpoint $, by booking with FB Travel, and putting my Airpoint $ # into the booking, and then going into the Air NZ website, and then going to my bookings there.
And lo and behold, can't pick seats online, neither with FB Travel at the booking stage, or on the Air New Zealand website.
Have to phone them up on Tuesday, and see if they can do it for me.

I don't know about AirNZ but I think with Velocity you can still get seats on Velocity MMB?

Don't see many threads/posts on Flybuys travel. I've now got $1200 in Flybuys dollars. In the past I've used the points to book travel to Thailand on Flybuys travel for my ticket and use Webjet to book wife/daughters ticket.

I've checked Webjet and can see the airfare I want is $1080 return but on Flybuys travel same airfare is $1220. Note one can generally purchase Webjet gift cards for $100 and get $110 value or with Flybuys promotion purchase Webjet gift cards for $100 and get 2000 bonus points or $10 off.
