How does one know whether you are flying the up spec versions of the jet connect operated aircraft across the ditch?

73H ZK registration when you eyeball it before boarding?

They are generally utilised on main T-T AKL routes so 73H on MEL/SYD/BNE to/from AKL will probably be one.

Some may have access to more information, so you may like to post more specifics a day or three before a flight.

Avoinding things timetables as a 734 would be a good start!!

To follow on from the above posts, AFAIK if it is a Jetconnect operated 738 it is 'up spec' (3 of them all up). If it is a 734 (4 of them), well...

Note the QF043/QF044 SYD to/from AKL is almost invariably operated by VH- aircraft.

QF141/QF114 are generally VH- on Sundays as well.
