Don't know how many AFF-ers are also members of IAPA, but it is shutting down ... An email received this evening starts ..;

>>>
We are writing to all of our members to advise that after 50 years of providing benefits to frequent flyers in a fast evolving travelling culture, and after careful consideration, the IAPA membership programme will be closing over the course of the next year.

Products and technology in the travel Industry have developed significantly in recent years, with the growth of the internet leading to both providers and consumers providing and sourcing membership benefits and related insurance products without the need for a membership programme.

As a result, we wish to advise you that your IAPA membership, including any insurance coverage, will not be renewed at the end of your current membership period on 27 August 2019. All membership entitlement will be discontinued at that point and you will no longer be able to log into the IAPA membership portal. All existing membership benefits will of course be valid until this date.
<<<<<

I remained a member because of their insurance benefits (delayed flights, lost baggage, car rental excess insurance, etc).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

International Airline Passengers Association ... see : IAPA - Cookies Required

Their Travel Insurance package was good, and there were a few other bells and whistles (discounts with global chains, community discussion, newsletters)

Yes, I have the same problem and am trying to find an alternative insurance coverage but it seems difficult. If I find anything, I will let you know, (I am in Europe). If you find anything in your area, let us know. Thanks
