Just curious as I met my wife in the QP almost 14 years ago.
There were not many seats around and I noticed she was reading a book on a topic that I had interest in.
I asked if I could sit across from her and then engaged her in conversation - we swapped emails - four emails a day (we lived 5 hours away) and 14 months later we were married :D

We have always wondered if anyone else has a similar story - not a quickie in the QP showers but a long lasting relationship?

For a while we did not fly much but kept our membership going in memory of how we met and whenever we flew into Brisbane we would always try to sit in the same area until they remodelled and made it heaps bigger.

Anyone with a similar story?

No sorry,

A quickie in the QP shower would have added so romance to the story.

Didn't meet in a lounge but a restaurant while I was with another woman and bunch of friends, I was rather drunk at time, didn't remember her at all, somehow had her Phone No. called 2 weeks later to see who she was!, now been together 30 years, and she is still fantastic!.

Please tell me you didn't get married in the lounge too :-|

Great story, there was a story on a local radio station last year that asked where you met your significant other, wife, husband. A survey had recently been completed that said that the top place to meet someone was at the supermarket, other top places to meet was at work, school/university and I think airport was ranked at number 6.

I added the story to Facebook and then a few days later I updated my Facebook status to say that I was at the Supermarket, I think one or 2 friends picked up on my humor.:p

Part of it comes down to luck and being at the right place and right time.

Did n't get married in the QP.
We got married in a church as Mrs davlaw wanted to get married in the Chapel where she went to school.

Getting married in the QP would have met a few less guests but back then you use to get sent to you vistors passes. Around that time between us we would have over 30 guest passes.

After the light refreshments please join us for the main meal on QF xx_x:shock: (that would be cheap!)

We did visit the QP shower a few months later after the wedding.

I did not meet my wife in the QC, but have meet someone else's wife there. In my defense I was single and she did not tell me till it was way to late.

What a good idea!

1. Wedding Ceremony in the Airport Chapel
2. Reception in the F lounge
3. JQ35 for all guests (immediate family in Business, others on TT price beats)
4. Continue Reception in MEL J loung
5. Return on last JQ flight of the day (also TT price beats), any who cannot make it stretchered to airport hotels (rebooking at your own expense sorry!)...
