Hello everyone!
I have been around on this forum for a year or so now and have learnt a lot of valuable information that helped me to optimise my travel patterns. One of these optimisations is that when flying a oneworld airline, I try to make sure that I am booked into a fare bucket that earns status on QF (provided the price is right of course). Typically the advice is to "check the partner earn tables" which works perfectly fine, however it isn't fun to do repeatedly while trying to book travel, which is where this tool I put together very quickly comes in.
I have found my site useful because I can immediately load it up, enter for example cathay class N, see that it would earn nothing on QF, and then be able to go back and choose a different fare bucket ticket. Even if you have the partner earn tables bookmarked, it's still faster to just enter it into the tool. While I now know CX earn rates in C/V/B/N/M like the back of my hand, it's not necessarily something thats easy to figure out initially.
This has helped me carefully min-max my personal travel to the point where I am for the first time ever going to hit world platinum by making sure that flights I was already going to fly which qantas doesn't operate (PER-HKG I am looking at you) actually give me some status.
I am more than happy to cover the costs for this site out of pocket as I have gained far more from the helpful members of this forum than I could ever hope to give back myself, so I hope that people find this useful - it's nice to be able to give something back to everyone here for free.
If there are any errors, please let me know - I threw this together over the course of 2 days last month. Enjoy!
