Apparently I don't exist either.
I already have my score from my paid veda service. I am curious whether this site will report the same score.

Just to confirm - I did try the website just now, living in the same address for 10yrs, no name changes, a few credit cards and a decent home loan etc - but according to them I don't exist.

So either I don't have a credit history - or this website is cough and can't recover the information requested.

Edited to add: Tried ticking and unticking the different options but does not change result. Looks like you have to clear cookies after the first failure as it retains your failed attempt and prevents you retrying. Very amateurish.

Website is definitely amatuerish! Notwithstanding that, given the sensitive nature of a credit file, I think it relies on very specific data matching, so if the detals you enter are not exact, you will get an error. For example, I doubt it would be common for your credit file to hold your passport number - mine doesn't - and it changes.

Yes indeed - but my drivers licence number hasn't changed, DOB hasn't, address hasn't changed etc

As far as I can see - if a user has an erroneous data in one field i.e. 1 Smith Cr or 1 Smith Cres there is no way for the web site to flag which field is incorrect, so its essentially a VEDA data bingo guessing game contest which is masquerading as a credit check site.

Once they let the kids out of school this afternoon they may attempt to get it working properly.

Apparently I don't exist either. I have lived at the same address for 8 years and tried both drivers license and passport and different spellings of my first name as there are 2 different spellings out there in general use and no go for any combination!

Its good to know that I do exist and they have some data on me. Score was in the mid range of very good which seems to make sense to me. While it seemed a little strange, the example for the address entry has no punctuation and that is how I entered mine.

I tried it and got a "very good" 789. I'm not sure why it isn't "excellent": perhaps because I have kept my mortgage account open to act as a flexible line of credit, despite having it effectively fully paid off via funds in an offset account? Or perhaps because I have three different credit cards, though each is automatically paid off each month?

Is no one in the least concerned that you are providing all the information needed for identity fraud to this new and relatively unknown and somewhat amateurish web site? Name, DOB, Drivers, Passport, Address etc.

I suspect it would be that you have 4 applications here. Veda would not know that you are paying off the accounts on time, despite the fact that contributing payment history is "allowed" now it is not "required" and noone is actually doing it at this stage.

Even when credit providers do start providing details of credit liabailities and repayments it important to note the law does NOT allow them to provide balance but rather the amount of credit that is "available". For Credit cards this will be your credit limit and for mortgages this would be your full oustanding balance including any amount available for redraw (e.g. your offset amount), regrdless of your actual balance. Blame the consumer advocates for this one, credit providers and their industry bodies certainly argued for balance. The argument for credit available is of course that you could go an redraw it all tomorrow (or for a credit card draw to the limit).

Why would I give my full name, including middle name, Address, Drivers license number, maybe passport numbers etc to some unknown website. May as well give it to the Dr Smith emails I receive from Nigeria

Had a quick look on Whirlpool and sure enough users seem to be having the same problem, apparently people commented that an address validation tool was attempting to match known addresses when the site first rolled out, and then crashed. In my one attempt on an IE PC computer I noticed that the address validation tool is not present so probably explains why so many problems are seen.

Has anyone been brave enough to try '123 Fake Street Suburb NSW 2001' vs '123 Fake St Suburb NSW 2001' to see if that could be the problem?

Given that they are unable to competently run a nationally launched web site competently (and draw your own conclusions about their data security, as others have done so here) I will not be trying again with my information in the near future.

I don't exist but I sort of knew that was going to happen.

I use my real birthday where I can and that is not the birthday that appears on the drivers licence or passport.

Not so sure about this, at least in my case. For some reason, my free standing single residence sitting on a regular quarter acre block, is quite frequently listed as unit 1/4 or unit 2/4 xx_ street instead of just 4 xx_ street. Entering my details into this site, I only had the option unit 1 or 2. I selected unit 1 and assume my credit score was correct at "very good". Perhaps I should try unit 2/4 and see what result I get.

Very good with a score of 775. Must be the 3 CC I have with high interest rates that effect my score.
