We have 2 adults 1x 10yo & 3yo twins . I've got 525,000 points (Visa, Amex schemes linked to Qantas FF) and want to travel somewhere either skiing or Europe (family in UK to visit)at Xmas

Need to be within school hols give or take a week. Previously got a RTW ticket From Syd via HK, Helsinki, Russia, London,Vancouver, LA,Syd but can't seem to get anything out of Syd at all. I've started trying flights out of Bne or Mel... Any suggestions welcome

Being constrained to school holidays is going to make it difficult. What QF status do you hold? Gold and Platinum members get better reward flight availability, so that might help. But anything around school holidays disappears 330 days out.

Well you could purchase the tickets 12 months in advance to guarantee those holiday times. Also, please note that some holiday dates are blacked out like Dec 16th - Dec 30ish.

Also, purchasing tickets for multiple people on award will almost require you to purchase your tickets WAAAAAAY in advance as well.

Good luck!

Regards
Daniel

PS: As mentioned in previous post, status will open up a few more viewable seats, the higher you are the more that will be available.
