I hope I'm posting in the right forum....

I have a neck/shoulder injury and need to fly premium economy on all flights over 4 hours. I'm flying to Baltimore next February, on Qantas, and I'd really like to take the Qantas flight that goes straight through to JFK, so that I can get premium economy all the way to NY. Then, I can hop a flight from NYC to Baltimore.

However, this routing doesn't come up when I search for flights on the Qantas website. Am I going to need to call them? I want to have it all booked through Qantas, rather than a separate American flight between JFK-BWI, because I want the luggage checked all the way through.

Thanks for any advice!

How are you trying to search on the QF website?
Have you tried doing it as SYD-JFK and JFK-BWI in a multicity search?

What is it about the PE seat that is needed due to this injury?

Every AA non stop flight between LAX and JFK (up to 13/day) use 3 class A321s with flat bed seating in F and J.

AA has 1 JFK-BWI flight/day, which departs JFK hours before QF11 arrives at JFK. A simple connection without over nighting in New York isn't possible.
Have you considered taking the bus or train to Baltimore? Or flying QF to DFW, then connecting to a AA BWI flight in F?

No, I haven't -- good point.

I can't have my shoulders squashed. It's not the leg room - it's the shoulder room.

I didn't realize that AA only has 1 JFK-BWI flight a day. That's crazy! But it explains why nothing comes up in the search.

I would love to fly F or even J in AA, but it adds considerably to the cost, and my employer can't afford it. I might have to just take QF to JFK, and then do my own cheap ticket from there. I wouldn't do bus or train because the injury also precludes me from lugging around suitcases a long way.

Thanks for the help - it is really useful.
