Hi,

My husband and I flew to Osaka and HK by CX flights in last November. My husband got 4000 Asia Miles but when I claimed it through the Qantas FF program, Qantas rejected my claim quoting "booking class ineligible". How could this happen? I thought Qantas and Cathay Pacific are partner airlines! Anyway, my question is can I join Asia miles now and retrospectively claim the 4000 Asia Miles ? ( I put in my QFF no. in my flight booking before).

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Some discounted tickets on Cathay are ineligible to earn points on Qantas (and possibly also through Cathay's own program - I'm not sure though). I'd try joining Asia Miles and requesting a missing miles claim. I think you can request miles for any flight taken in the last 6 months, although I'm not 100% certain if that applies to new members. Either way, the program is free to join so it's worth a try.
