Hi All,
A very self interested post.
Travelling SYD - DFW - MCO - LAX - SYD (Business / Platinum) in july.
I calculate 560 SC's but wondering what impact status bonus will have as a QF Platinum?

Also interested in any travel tips and things to do whilst in Orlando / LAX.

THANKS!

SCs will be the same regardless of whether you are Bronze, Platinum or pink with purple spots. You will get bonus FF points for cabin and platinum; the calculators on the QF site can give you an idea about this. From memory it is 100% bonus for being platinum and 50% bonus for J. Assuming of course that you are on QF metal.

Enjoy the trip!

Thanks for clarifying re SC's. i.e. no additional based on status and providing other refeence points.

Easy way to calculate SC's:

Mileage Monkey

Put in your routing under 'Oneworld Explorer Validator' and tick 'Ignore errors (for expert users!)' and click 'Go!'. Scroll down to the bottom and you get something like this:
mm_sc.png

So you can see from that that you'll earn 520SC's for it in J.

What booking class are you in for the DFW-MCO and MCO-LAX parts? AA don't have Business on those segments, so depending how it's booked you *may* end up with First SC's (if you're on a QF codeshare, you'll earn Business SC's, but if it's on the AA code, chances are you'll be earning F).

Both US flights are with AA but ticketed QF (Travel Class - Business). On the online booking there is the letter (I).
Seats 1A & 3A.
