How many points and SC's on Oneworld Airlines

Hi All,
I am a member of QFF and just wanted to clarify the following :-
At what rate are SC's and points earn't on Oneworld partner airlines, I have looked for a summary of this information because I'm sure it must exist?

Also I'm am looking at booking a Global Explorer with AA, will I still be able to earn QFF Points and SC's still?

Sorry but last question, I flew SYD-VLI return last week and just wanted to know if I could claim this? Was a NF flight?

Yes, so long as you put your QF FF number in the booking and the fare classes are shown against the airlines in the table you choose to fly.

But you may be better going for an AA Platinum Challenge and earning AA Platinum status (equivalent of QF Gold) and have lounge access, budiness class check-in, better redemption, etc). Just watch out for some rules like don't fly USA/LHR on BA, either use the AA codeshare or actual AA flights to get credit. Or when in doubt, ask one of us.

Sure it does. It can be found on the QFF site. http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/program/terms#jump23 for the booking classes. Then the mileage rate is applied, to the QF list . http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/program/privileges. eg. AA L-Class. Miles flown 1000miles * 0.5 (For Discount Economy) = 500 QF miles and 10 sc. If it was H class, then 1000miles and 15sc. If it's O or Q class, you get nothing...

Yep, you can, but Im not sure what class this books into. Something else to look at, is doing the AA Platinum challenge, if you work out that some classes are eligible under QFF, and want some QC access after. Info can be found here http://members.shaw.ca/fewmiles/AA/index2.html

Miles/Points should be OK. SC's Nope.

Yep, correct. But keep an eye on the booking classes. If the code isnt listed on the partner AA info, then you get nothing.
Ive found over here in the US, AA have been moving a lot of codes into non-miles classes( For QF anyway) . Where before they were discounting N,S,V's, now there using O and Q only. Which absolutely stuff's up my QFF balances

Very similar. They are the same OneWorld status level (Sapphire), but each airline treats they own FF members slightly different to the OneWorld benefits.

For example, if travelling on AA flight, an AA Platinum member can upgrade using miles or electronic upgrade stickers, but a non-AA OneWorld Sapphire member cannot. Similarly a QF Gold can request on-departure upgrade using FF points for QF domestic flights (or waitlist for international upgrades) while an AA member cannot.

A QF Gold member gets additional baggage allowance on QF flight, while additional baggage allowance is not a OneWorld benefit.

But basically the same lounge, check-in, boarding priority etc benefits.

Y B H K W all earn 100% mileage

M V L R G O S all earn 50% mileage

Of the ones you mention, only N and Q are zero earning

Your right, but I was talking QF points when traveling on AA rather than the other way around.

(OT But worth mentioning)
I personally wish that "One World" would standardise their booking classes across all airlines. Its so confusing trying to work out what you get and where. Maybe QF should introduce a class where it earns no points but full discount economy SC's. So loyal OW customer's who go out for there way to fly AA or BA still get something for there trouble. Personally in ATL, I always fly AA, but getting really sick of the connections and higher booking classes to make any QFF points.... Anyway.......The only thing I like about the QF / AA relationship is the YUP fares, but cannot always afford the extra $$$ needed or justify the SC's/$$$ ratio on short direct flights.
