Hi,

Redeeming alone or two is quite easy, but these days with kids, might need to push my luck to be able to redeem.

I'm just wondering wow many business award seat KF releasing per flight?

No definite answer, sometimes zero, sometimes six (as @BriarFlyer mentioned above).
Depends on so many factors - route, date, predicted load, predicted number of revenue tickets, the direction of the wind at the time, etc.
I've generally found that if you look at the point of release, then you should be able to comfortably get 2 x J, almost guaranteed. I thought that was the case for F/R too, but that didn't work out too well for me the last time I looked.

In my experience, it's generally about 4 seats ( I try by doing dummy searches) 3xx days in advance. I always try at 8am AWST which is when the seats gets loaded. I understand more could be released later on, but always starts with 4.

Yes I have found up to 4 to be pretty generally available on many routes if I booked well out.

The most I have booked is 6. Just within SE Asia.

I have a family of 5 (Though these days the daughters rarely travel with us and so now I mainly just book for 2), and for Europe I always had to split our party to have everyone in J.

Sometimes was not able to get 4. 3 seemed to normally be quite easy. Once returning from AMS I could only get 2 per flight and so my wife and one daughter flew out the day after I flew out with the other daughter.

I have generally been able to book 2 without problems. If booking late there could sometimes be only one seat left, and in which case we would fly on a different date.

I think on some routes with smaller craft that there can be only 2. ie SIN-USM.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
