How long to ticket award flight (Qantas and Qatar)

for any redemption involving a partner airline I would not leave ticketing longer than 72 hours. All sorts of problems start to happen after three days.

For QR I'd be ringing immediately to get QF to process tickets.

awards issued for travel on the issuing airline... knock yourself out, if they auto cancel they can release inventory to recreate your itinerary.

Just about to dig into the computer to get the reference number to call again, having checked earlier today and nothing, and now just received itinerary confirmation. Phew.

i would now make sure the ticket number has been received by QR, either via a MMB function, or calling QR direct.

Pushka, I clicked on "print eticket" from menu on RHS (Qatar MMB) and the result showed eticket numbers.

Yes - I can do this too so all good. On Qatar there are a lot more options now so all good.

MMB = manage my booking

a reservation appearing on an airline's website... even being able to select seats or book the cook... means little without a ticket number. without the ticket number the airline can cancel the reservation (and the booking may even still show)

however, seems you have this under control now. peace of mind
