I made WP status about 5 weeks ago, but QF have not sent me anything.

How long does it normally take to get your WP welcome packs? I got through in the last month of my membership year, but QF had plenty of notice that those flights would get me onto WP.

I've had 2 domestic flights since turning WP (travelling in J) and no acknowledgment or anything.

Just wondering if other people have needed to chase up to get their WP card and tags? I'd be happy to take the old bag-tags as they'd be more useful to me travelling internationally.

Also wondering if other people have used their QF WP status to get matching status in another FF program?

Has your status changed online?

If so, I would not worry, unless you need to travel overseas in the next month or so.

Mine took about 7 weeks to arrive. I had no problem accessing the QF F Lounges, even without the shiny new WP card, as a quick check using my old and well worn QF Gold card by the Lounge staff showed my WP status.

Tried doing the WP status match (even with > 3,000 SC's this year) with AA. No luck.

I had an OS flight booked 2 weeks after qualifying so called them. They said they thought it was on the way (aftern checking with the dept. that sends the kits) but if it didn't arrive by 3 days before the flight to call them and they would courier it! Wasn't necessary as it arrived a few days after my call. I was impressed by their responsiveness

I took my qualifying flight on March 14, and it posted on March 16 reflecting my status as Platinum at the time, however I still have not received the card (pretty much 5 weeks).

My partner qualified back in January, and it took roughly 6 weeks I think, so I'm hoping for mine soon.

Slightly o/t, but I wanted some of the "old" baggage tags as well as the NGCI ones, as I don't really want the massive NGCI on carry-on luggage. So I called the Premium Service Desk and they sent 4 out for me, which only took 2 working days to arrive. So I have Platinum luggage tags already, but not the FF card!

Oh nice, I didn't know you could do this. I'm definitely going to get some of the older style ones.

Yeah, they're much better for carry-on luggage. They actually asked how many I wanted - I should have said "as many as possible!"

Nice tip. I will definitely give them a call to get some of the old tags.
Thanks! :D

When did you call?

I called a couple of months ago and was told they were all gone !!

Around 2 weeks ago. Make sure you're talking to the premium desk - When we first called it didn't go through there and they said they didn't have any, but we got transferred to the Premium desk who posted them themselves.

An update: I rang the QF FF hotline this morning, the lady on the "normal desk" passed me onto someone else "premium desk"??, who said that there was a backlog, and that my tags were processed on April 12, so I should see them by end of next week due to easter (quite a strange explanation!). Anyway, I asked for some old-style tags to be sent, and she told me she would be happy to send a few to me. Good to see the old-fashioned "please and thank you" working out today!

Just called back, transferred to premium and they're mailing them out. Did say that they're "phasing them out".

Must have not been speaking to premium when I first asked.

Mine took about 5 weeks, I qualified in Feb/end and it arrived in Mar/end,

However, as someone mentioned above, I had no trouble in accessing the QFF Business Lounges in SYD, MEL and Perth..

Same here for SYD and MEL (domestic), but I want to get into the CX Flounge in HK... :)

Their system links in and can show your status.

I took my qualifying flight LHR-SIN and then transited to HKG. In HKG the system hadn't yet updated for CX (takes a day), but QF's had, so the QF F lounge stamped my BP and that was good enough for the CX F lounge (wing and pier).

Thanks for that clarification - useful to know.
