How long for new QF pack to arrive ?

I recently qualified for WP and am about to go on trip to Asia but have not received WP card and tags. On the website it confirms my new status but I was wondering if I would have any issues for example checking in at First Class counters (in AU and Asia), entry to F lounges etc without the card. I assume my BP will state WP status but something on BPs issued overseas it is not that clear. How long would it normally take for Qantas to send these packs out ?

Any experience here that people can share ?

I dont know the answer to your question but I can confirm I'm still waiting for mine having qualified over a month ago.

Bear in mind there are a significant number of people entitled to the NGCI kits who still haven't received their initial kits, let alone sending out the kits for those whose status has been upgraded since the roll-out began!

Your boarding passes will have your QF/OW status identified on them.
Take a printed screenshot of your QF status as well.

I got my pack in the first batch (lucky me!) but know somebody who hit WP in late February and he is still waiting. Same boat as you, he's heading overseas next month.

Anyway my boarding passes have always had my QFF # on them but only for Oneworld partners, as I usually fly on QF-CX-BA. So if you're on a Oneworld airline you should be okay.

I attained WP in mid Jan this year part way through my trip. Arrived back is Syd on Feb 7 with my new card in the mail. Perhaps QF ships them monthly in bulk to save costs.

I had now problems flying IB, BA, AA and QF with OW Em showing on my BP and never once was asked to show my FF card.

Though just make sure your status shows on BP, especially kiosk BPs, if not ask for reprint at desk.

I phoned QF 2 days ago to enquire when my Gold pack would arrive but they couldn't give me a date

I qualified for WP 6 weeks and 2 days ago and still haven't got the pack. Apparently they will courier one to you if absolutely necessary, but only for WP if it hasn't already been sent.

I plan on calling them at the 7 week mark and asking for this if I haven't got it yet.

It used to take ~10 days for the new pack to arrive but since the NGCI rollout things have slowed down. I re-qualified Platinum ~4 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the new pack.

As far as First Class check-in and First Class lounges go there should not be any issues accessing them until the new pack arrives. If in doubt then just print a copy of status page to take with you and also having a printed copy of OLCI with your new status on it would not go astray.

I think it might be something like this. I qualified PS at the beginning of March; when I hadn't received my pack a month later I called to see if I could get an ETA on it. I was told that the next batch would be sent out in 3 weeks time and that I would be in it.

(That was 4 weeks ago. I've got my QP card so I can do most NGCI stuff, I'm just missing my bag tags. They'd definitely be very handy right now, but it's not worth hassling people over.)

I re-qualified for G in Feb and are still waiting.
After numerous calls and just as many promises, still nothing!

I keep getting told "it's in the mail" which of course never comes.
Am repeatedly requested to ring back in 7 days if you haven't received it.
Which l do to no avail.

My new Gold Kit arrived this morning....
As I stated earlier, I qualified at the beginning of March, so it's been about 7 weeks for this new card to arrive.
Also,just an interesting thing, the new kit is packaged completely differently to how NGCI roll-out kits were done. The bag-tags are in a thin cardboard packet, and the card was attached to the letter. Maybe Qantas has run out of the original packs. Anyway, not important, just glad my new card / bag-tags are here!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but QF will also issue two replacement tags per year, free of charge. So if you need more than the two tags that come in your kit, you can either buy them from QF for $50 each, or ring up and report one or both as lost or stolen and get extra tags that way.

Called QANTAS today and they said it would take 4-6 weeks for kit to arrive (something I doubt given feedback on this post). If I wanted my card earlier it could be couriered for 30 aud. Only the card could be couriered and not the ngci tags. Asked for old style tags but they did not have them anymore - operator said she could send me gold ones if I wanted

Asked for fee to be waived as I'm traveling soon but that was no option.

Not good first impression of becoming WP!

Try again and ask for the Premium desk - they still had the old WP tags in stock a couple of weeks ago, so it may not have been the right call centre. Either that, or they have definitely run out now.

Someone else mentioned here that they were offered the new kit to be couriered out as they were travelling soon, but in the end it arrived in time. But no mention of a charge for it though.

As one of my old style QC tags got eaten by the luggage system last last week, I just rang to get some more. No dice. The guy thought I wanted leather tags (not that old!) and suggested buying them from the qantas shop.

I'm still waiting for the new QP card which was supposed to arrive, er, sometime last year? I'm not sure if I'll ever get those, especially now that I'm into my 6th week of waiting for my QPPS pack.
