It also depends if it was a third party flight - that delays things significantly.

My award booking was a mixture of 3K from Perth-SIN connecting to UL in SIN to CMB. No QF flights on the booking.
Cancelled an award last week and points have been refunded already. The description on the activity statement has the same date as the date the award was cancelled. I suspect she pushed through the cancellation manually as I made a new booking.Points used to be refunded instantly but seems it's no longer the case. I've cancelled Int award yesterday, checked this morning and it has been deleted from MyBookings but points have not been refunded yet.
