Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it usually takes Qantas to update a FF account to reflect a new status change.
I flew back from Sydney last night and the credits from that flight will take me over the 1400 mark but my account still hasn't been updated.
Generally status credits for a domestic flight apply after a couple of hours so I'm guessing the delay is due to the move from gold to platinum.
Realise that I'm being impatient its just that I have an international flight coming up in a couple of days and I'm very excited about getting in to the first class lounge :)
cheers

The posting of the status credits won't be delayed by the change in status. It's likely just a delay posting the flight sometimes it can take a few days for international flights especially non-QF to post but also for domestic especially late night flights can take 24 hours (happened to me recently on domestic flight Syd to Mel).

Hopefully by the time you read my post you will be WP. Welcome and enjoy the F Lounge.

That is the strange thing, this was just a domestic flight with QF. A return day trip to SYD and I have received the credits for the outbound portion of the flight just not the return.
Maybe I need to give them a call ?

Well, it could take up to a couple of days.

I would keep checking and if the SC still haven't posted by tomorrow morning give them a call and explain your situation.

The time frames for posting are mysterious and can be from a couple of hours to a couple of days. Moatly, I find it is next day. Gove it a day or two.

Any delay won't be due to the status change.

Probably posted by now but yes can take from a few hours to a couple of days in my experience... Usually it's done by the next morning after flight but it's nothing to stress about. If a week goes by then fine but otherwise just let it happen. Peace out :)

Ok thanks all, I will remain calm and wait another day or 2 before getting in touch.
Just excited about finally making it to WP!

In my experience mainline QF flights posts same day for early flights but late PM/evening flights post the next day, Qantaslink flights always the next day but a late eve flight the day after next. You should have the SCs in your account by end tomorrow regardless and status updated at the same time for any new BPs generated after that.

I hit WP for the first time a couple of months ago and I had a similar pattern to tip over so was quite nervous for SCs to post on time but it worked out without intervention :) Congrats!
