How long did your Velocity Hotel partner program status match take?

As part of my Platinum Velocity Status I am entitled to a complimentary status match with either IHG or Hilton. I chose IHG and applied for it 3 weeks ago, but it still hasn’t been applied. I contacted Velocity today and was told they won’t follow it up until it’s been 20 business days (currently only 15). I wouldn’t have thought it would take that long. I am travelling in 3 weeks time and was hoping to have the status matched by then as I am staying with IHG in Singapore. For those that did apply for the complimentary status match - how long did it take for yours to come through?

I tried to get IHG setup in 2017 after getting Gold and it never happened.
Turns out they didn't like the fact I use unique email addresses for each company I deal with and couldn't get past that fact so even though the status was claimed I never received it.

For me it took ages. Had to call them also. Need to make sure that your name and email address is as provided to the velocity FF programme is the exact same as the hotel group. It's ok once it comes but like everything with VA it's never easy!!

Thank you - I’m glad I started the process when I did as I honestly thought it would only take a couple of days! Yes, have checked email addresses etc are the same on both profiles. I’ll give it another week and then keep following them up until it is loaded. On the upside at least I should still have the status for next year’s October school holidays.

Some reports are that IHG matching can take months

It’s 20 business days minimum. At that point you can follow up with Velocity and ask them to chase it.

That was my experience. Called them on day 21 and got my status match with Hilton about a week later.
