Pretty hard if you're in an Iberian A330, @flightradar24: Oouch RT @Planesonearth: Iberia smacked the wing of an A330 into a jet bridge at Madrid-Barajas airport. http://t.co/25MgP2CjPc

Is there any chance a NIGS could cause this, eg. Set to the wrong aircraft type or incorrect distance settings after being repaired, etc.

Also, whatever the case, even if a NIGS or marshall gives the wrong instructions, is the PIC still responsible ?

Chances are the NIGS was US and the Captain decided to use the Mk1 eyeball system
