How does this qantas mall thing work?

I see that stuff from DJs attracts 6points per dollar through the QF shopping link. I also see there is a 'link my mastercard' option which claims to earn points on any mastercard purchase. What I don't get is if this is a prerequisite to earn the 6/$, or if this is additional, and if that would stack on top of the 1/$ the mastercard already pays. Anyone know?

The online shopping mall and the mastercard link are two different things You can do one without the other

If there is an offer on both, you would get both.
