How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

Staying there now and agree with everything except the Zucchini fritters - they had a crisp exterior and were great!
I’m happy for you! I love zucchini fritters and I was quite disappointed with mine. They looked great, but had steamed themselves on the plate. I suspect too long between being plated and being served.

Recommend: Yes. Very comfortable room but the service was outstanding. Even before we arrived at the hotel, we had gotten in touch with them to let them know that we’d be sending 1x suitcase and 1x box of miscellaneous items ahead of us. We sent the suitcase over 1 week in advance and they held it for free. Also were very prompt in responding to my emails. We also arrived at 10:30am on the day of check-in and they let us check-in then, even though this isn’t one of my status benefits and our check-in was supposed to be at 3pm! This early check-in was a lifesaver for us because we were returning to Australia the next day and had to repack all of our luggage so we could do this earlier in the room. We also could rest in the room for the day ahead of a 20 hour return flight (including transiting). I also rang them and asked for some masking tape and they immediately sent someone up to give it to us. Nothing was a problem and they made us feel like VIPs. The only slight letdown was the restaurant, that felt a little like a family restaurant in it’s layout and the service wasn’t quite up to the standard of the staff at reception. The food was delicious, though, if not small in it’s proportions but who can complain for a $39.10 3-course meal after my 25% Accor Plus discount. Would definitely stay here again.

Won’t bore people too much as this is our “go to” in KL and I’ve done plenty of reviews previously. Check in was a bit glitchy and not smooth this time and did feel like staff were in short supply and that’s the impression I got during our whole stay. The staff were fantastic but they did seem overwhelmed at times by the number of guests. Welcome gift of a few beers and other goodies and once again received a fantastic upgrade to the Sky Suite which had stunning views of the Petronas Towers, KL Tower and the Merdeka as well as other buildings. Bed was extremely comfortable and the suite was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast included in rate and is up at one of the restaurants and once again has great views. We ate out on the deck one morning but with no shade the glare and heat can be overbearing. Can choose dishes off the menu and has a small but decent enough buffet. The Beef Rendang was good as usual and not a bad way to start the day. Vertigo bar on the top deck is the highest bar in KL and has absolutely fabulous views but it can get packed up there and I’d definitely book ahead. As Diamonds we are asked at check in if we would like to reserve a spot outside for the best views. Drinks are a bit pricey for KL but welcome drinks can be used for pretty much anything so had a couple of coughtails each. Small but functional pool area and location is great with a covered walkway to Pavilion Mall. A little on the expensive side of things for a hotel in KL but you are paying for the views. Status recognition has always been good there but from talking to others they do seem to pick and choose with whether they want to be with Accor or not and at under half the price I honestly reckon the Sofitel is better value

Had an absolutely fantastic stay here and staff were simply superb for the entire stay and made us feel very much appreciated as Accor Diamonds.
Was very noticeable when we first arrived just how many staff were working and it always seemed like there was double the staff to guests and I think we had encountered about 4 or different levels of management before we had even checked in. Was informed at check in that we had been upgraded to one of the best suites in the property and whisked up to the Gold level for further check in formalities.
The suite was superb and had wall to ceiling windows offering great Nile views (could even see the Pyramids when the smog cleared) and had a large dining area which had a business area containing work desk, book shelves etc. A kitchen area ran off that and had a coffee machine, sink and mini bar aswell as a tray of assorted snacks in the cupboard. Snacks, soft drinks and juices were all complimentary and restocked every morning but you could also phone up and request unlimited amounts during the day. Bed was comfortable and there was also a large lounge area and a decent size bathroom and toilet with an extra toilet and bathroom located near the main entrance. Decent pool and bar on the top floor with sun lounges and good views and we claimed our welcome drinks up there. Fairmont Gold lounge was the destination for breakfast, afternoon tea and coughtail hour and was open to late at night with free soft drinks and nibbles. For coughtail hour they offer a dinner service where you have a decent buffet and can order soup and mains to go with it. Very good stay and will definitely head back there
