How do you store your wine [+ Fridge/Cabinet recommendations]

Anyone have much experience with Triomph fridges? They seem to be around 30%+ cheaper than Vintec and still have really solid reviews.
A person in the wine trade on my Forum indicated Triomph are made in the same factory as Vintec, using the same parts, but sold here at a cheaper price. This was followed by a negative comment from someone else about the quality of Vintec fridges...

It's been said before that Liebherr are the way to go. Never heard a negative comment/issue....except for the price.

Never heard a negative comment about Liebherr? Then you obviously don't know my idiot uncle. He tells me that these products are from White Russia and I should not buy!

Mines made in Malaysia? Not really clear whether the warranty is 3 years or 5 years though.

Liebherr Warranty unclear , maybe the Malaysian versions 3 and the Austrian versions 5.
I am buying two under bench fridges for a bar , one wine and one beverage ; nearly $8k for 2 x Austrian Liebherrs (5 years in home ) -v- Barfridges au @ $2889 and 3 years in home warranty.
I understand from a Commercial fridgie mate that the Bar fridges product is a no compromise build that should last a very long time.

MEL: Kennards storage ($50 referral):
  • Port Melbourne: 36 case $48
  • Abbotsford: 36 case $69, 60 case $117
Ending tonight/tomorrow, besides pinot noir and chardonnay, is 50% off wine storage @ Kennards - you can reserve/lock-in a unit/price now without any obligation, and move-in/pay up to 30 days later :)

Thanks for sharing this @qaz , a lot of the info in that article was aligning itself with my thinking, however there’s so much info out there, not to mention stigma with cellaring wine.
At least I know Im on the right track with what I’m doing at my place.
Hopefully in my next house I can have a cellar or basement, or even a slightly more dedicated space? However with the way house prices are going in Melbourne I’d be better to stay put and just spend higher price per bottle and purchase cellar releases 😂

It seems pretty cheap to me? I need extra racking for the cellar.
Very good price for that size rack. these are quality racks. I have one that's more than 30 years old. No issues.

Don't forget to use any 10% off catch gift cards you might have or cashrewards/shopback.

Thankyou, exactly what I wanted to hear.

It's dirt cheap compared to even what people are selling used racks for, and I found a guy that is selling gift cards at 10% discount.

I might buy 2 sets at this price!

I've seen ones like that where the connectors are metal. The downside is you can easily shave off the bottle label as you pull out a bottle. These look like plastic (or plastic over the metal) which looks much better. Nice find!

Material: Pine wood and steel

I guess I'll see, I'll be careful.

Finally lost patience playing endless Tetris with wine bottles and decided to try storing them upright in my Liebherr grand cru. Surprisingly happy with the result! Sacrificed storage space to preserve sanity. 200 bottles total fit. Only a small number under cork can’t be stored flat right now, but will fix that soon with drinking!

Has anyone built a wine room before? recommendations for a air con systems / wall insulation / installers in Melbourune?
I'm looking to build a house and am considering adding a wine room (snippet of floor plan attached)1633079037058.png

My only tip is that life's better when one's wine room is bigger than one's study!

If you haven't purchased yet, might be worth waiting for the increased cash back OzBargain says is coming tomorrow:
